Craig Breen leads Rally Liepaja-Ventspils after the opening afternoon of round two of the European Rally Championship in Latvia.
The reigning Super 2000 World Rally champion is kicking off his Peugeot ERC programme on the gravel and snow event.
Breen has edged away from the DMACK-shod Autotek Ford of Jari Ketomaa through the first three stages, stretching his initial 0.3-second advantage to 6.4s by the end of the loop.
Francois Delecour holds third position in his Kronos Peugeot, 5.7s behind Ketomaa but already 20s clear of the best of the pack behind. The WRC veteran stayed on the pace despite having to hold his door closed with one hand for much of SS3.
